Well said Eli. It amazes me how many somehow treat the Decalogue (the Ten Commandments) as if it were a unique part of the law somehow separated from the law of Moses, and as if our "keeping" it today were the whole of salvation. Indeed, it is these very Ten Commandments that Paul says are "the ministry of death...written in stone..."

Hey brother, I think it's great how God has been taking the two of us through similar things at similar times.

I have heard it said that when Adam sinned he broke all ten of the ten commandments in that one act. I have only briefly considered that, so I don't have a lot to say about it. I hear what John Calvin is saying also, though I have to give it more thought. In my own life I have

Praise God, this is just what I spent several hours talking about tonight! I was going through Romans and Galatians with a friend, showing just this thing.

But now, a question:

Do you believe that the Ten Commandments given to Moses are the summary of the moral Law under which are all men in Adam, and therefore as a unit predate Moses?
